Misal Pav step by step

  1. Soak White Peas overnight and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles. In a Kadhai or Pan add ½ spoon of oil.
  2. Add coconut powder and sauté till it turns little brown and you get a nice aroma of coconut..
  3. Add Godva Masala, turmeric powder and chilli powder and sauté till it mix well. Add the boiled white peas and saute. Add sugar and salt to taste and squeeze a lemon..
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and saute. Cut onions into small pieces. and sauté till they turn soft and brown..
  5. Add 1 glass of water, mix everything nicely and let it simmer and bring the curry to boil Serve it hot with Pav, Farshan, Lemon, Onion...

Misal Pav is prepared with few variations in different places in Maharashtra like Puneri Misal, Kolhapuri Misal etc. Though I have not tasted all the versions but I would love to try them when I visit those.
