Ingredients of Calabash Marmalade
- You need 3 Cups of calabash grated.
- It's 2 Cups of sugar.
- You need 1/4 Cup of almonds sliced.
- You need 1/4 Cup of pistachio sliced.
- It's 1/4 Cup of cashews split.
- You need Handful of sultana raisins.
- You need 1/4 Cup of Charoli (Chironji).
- Prepare 3 Tbsp of Khas-Khas (white poppy seeds).
- Prepare 2 Cups of Ghee.
- You need 1/2 Tsp of Cardamom Powder.
Calabash Marmalade step by step
- Mix the grated Calabash (dhodi) And Sugar together then cook on low heat, till water evaporates and forms a thick syrup.
- In a non stick pan, warm up the ghee and add in all dry ingredients till well mixed and slightly golden.
- Throw the pan ingredients into the Calabash syrup and cook for another 5 minutes. Can add in dried prunes (Allobukhara).
- Turn off heat and enjoy with a slice of bread or Naan..
